Celebrating 30 years of CAFHNA!
The Child & Family Health Nurses Association (CAFHNA) NSW was established in March 1990 and became Incorporated in October 1991
AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION:
- To promote and advocate the role of a Child & Family Health Nurse (CFHN) as a specialty field.
- To facilitate professional development by providing education specific to the role of the CFHN.
- To provide a medium for communication with members through papers, articles, journals and online activities.
- To promote practice standards of the CFHN by acting in an advisory capacity on matters relating to child and family health practice and education.
- To be involved at a policy development level with the NSW Ministry of Health on matters affecting CFHN practice.
- To encourage the development of nursing research in the field of child and family health.
